Job summary

Amgen Breda is seeking a Senior Technical Operator to maintain and optimize highly automated assembly, labeling and packing lines in a GMP environment. You will act as SME on the line, lead troubleshooting, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a technical education (MBO+), 7+ years in regulated production, hands-on SAP/MES experience, and a proven ability to train and coach colleagues while managing set-ups and change-overs.

Qualifications

• MBO+ or equivalent technical education.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in highly regulated automated production environments.
• Proven SME experience or trainer experience.
• Advanced troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
• Familiarity with SAP/MES systems and CI methodologies (Lean / Six Sigma).
• High level of ownership, accountability, and structured way of working.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and optimize automated production equipment.
• Perform set-ups and change-overs.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Identify deviations and support quality/maintenance triage.

LIVE What you will do

As a Senior Technical Operator for automated lines, you play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of highly automated assembly, Labeling & Packing production systems within a GMP-regulated environment. You act as the technical expert on the line, supporting both operational excellence and team capability. In this role, you will:

• Operate, monitor, and optimize automated production equipment
• Perform set-ups and change-overs
• Lead advanced troubleshooting and perform root cause analysis (e.g., RCA, 5WHY)
• Identify and elevate deviations where required in collaboration with quality and maintenance and support triage activities
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and first point of contact for technical escalations
• Analyze and interpret process data using SAP/MES systems
• Drive and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / Six Sigma)
• Support, coach and train team members, strengthening overall line capability
• Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all production activities
