Job summary

European Tech Recruit is assisting a leading technology client in Amsterdam to hire a System Performance Architect. The role focuses on operating system performance, kernel scheduling, hardware-software co-optimization, and system-level performance engineering to define next-generation OS technologies.

Based in Amsterdam with 100% onsite presence, you will collaborate with research, system software, silicon, product, and engineering teams to drive architecture through deployment and deliver

Qualifications

• Experience in operating system performance optimization.
• Experience in Linux/Android kernel development.
• Strong knowledge of CPU/GPU scheduling concepts.
• Ability to translate architecture into implementation.
• Excellent English communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience identifying and solving complex system bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop system-level performance optimization across OS, hardware, and chipset.
• Work on CPU/GPU/DDR scheduling strategies, workload placement, and core selection.
• Develop frequency scaling, power management, and thermal-aware scheduling.
• Drive hardware-software co-optimization across kernel, OS, chipset, and end devices.
• Analyze and resolve complex system performance bottlenecks affecting latency and UX.
• Design and optimize high-performance core system modules and frameworks.
• Research application APIs, runtime optimization techniques, and performance paradigms.
• Translate industry tech into system architecture and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with research, system software, silicon, product, and engineering teams.
• Drive solutions from architecture through deployment on end devices.
• Deliver measurable improvements in performance, power, and user experience.
