Job summary

microTECH Global LTD in Amsterdam is seeking a permanent on-site engineer to design and optimize OS-level scheduling and performance frameworks. You will develop CPU, GPU, and memory scheduling strategies, and work on hardware-software co-optimisation.

You will identify bottlenecks, improve responsiveness, and contribute to roadmaps through research and industry analysis. The role requires collaboration across teams and a background in mobile, embedded, or consumer OS.

Qualifications

• Experience in OS performance optimisation, kernel development, or system scheduling.
• Strong understanding of CPU/GPU/memory scheduling and resource management.
• Knowledge of frequency scaling, task scheduling, and performance-aware system design.
• Experience optimising application and framework performance at OS level.
• Ability to translate research and emerging technologies into practical solutions.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Background in mobile, embedded, or consumer operating systems.
• Experience with large-scale platform development.
• Exposure to performance-critical software architecture.
