We are seeking a skilled and driven Senior System Engineer to join our team at ASMPT. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the technical development and enhancement of our next-generation Advanced Packaging systems. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, you will drive the full project lifecycle—from initiation and technical feasibility to production and global deployment. Advanced packaging plays a key role in semiconductor manufacturing, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enable the integration of multiple chips into a single, high-performance solution. Key Responsibilities

• Contributing to the technical development of the new generation of Advanced Packaging systems.
• Support Lead System Architect in assessing architectural scenarios on technical feasibility.
• Provide input to project manager for plan, planning, budget and timelines.
• Define system - and module requirements by following a systematic process that ensures clarity, traceability, and alignment with stakeholder needs.
• Overviewing the system complexity by employing a structured approach that breaks down the system into manageable subsets and making timing-, volume-, error- and other breakdowns.
• Conducting failure mode and effect analyses at different abstraction levels.
• Estimate overall system performance and capability by simple hand calculations, more advanced modelling or physical test setups.
• Adhering to disciplined and thorough documentation in all phases of the development process.

THIS IS YOU

- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.

- 10+ years of experience in the machine industry, preferably in the semiconductor sector.

- Experience in writing system requirements and specifications, building prototypes, and performance testing and verification.

- Strong communication skills; fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
