About the role

For an international company active in the data center sector, we are seeking a skilled Medior Application Engineer specialising in Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM). The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining automation and monitoring solutions for small to midsize projects. The engineer will work closely with end customers, travelling regularly to different sites to ensure systems perform optimally, resolve issues, and implement improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with end customers to understand requirements and operational challenges.
• Design, configure, and implement DCIM solutions, integrating with BMS, EPMS, HVAC, and other infrastructure systems.
• Develop and maintain software and hardware interfaces to ensure smooth IT and OT integration.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and resolve technical issues on-site.
• Provide documentation, training, and project handover to operational teams.
• Review work from junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Act as technical lead on small to medium-sized projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Keep up with emerging technologies and suggest process improvements.

Candidate profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in DCIM, SCADA, BMS, EPMS, or related automation systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, VB.NET, C#.NET, or C++.
• Good understanding of data center infrastructure, electrical power systems, and HVAC.
• Professional fluency in Dutch and English.
• Willingness to travel regularly (2–3 days per week) to various sites.
• Proactive, collaborative, and eager to develop skills further.
