AIM Solutions, a deep-tech startup on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, seeks a System Engineer to own the tool’s system architecture. You will align optics, mechanics, electronics and software into a cohesive machine while guiding a growing team.

The role demands 10+ years in high‑tech systems, leadership of complex development, and strong requirements, budgets and interface management. You will thrive in a small, fast-moving environment with clear communication in English.

Formación

• 10+ years in high-tech equipment with system engineering or system architect roles.
• Experience leading technical development of a complex system in semiconductor/metrology or scientific instruments.
• Strong in requirements engineering, system budgets and interface management.
• A broad technical base: optics, precision mechanics, control and software.
• This is a small, fast-moving team with fluid roles and hands-on involvement.

Responsabilidades

• Own the system architecture and the key technical decisions.
• Translate performance goals into system and subsystem requirements, with traceability.
• Maintain system budgets and decide where performance is won or lost.
• Define and guard the interfaces between subsystems.
• Steer subsystem engineers: set priorities, run design reviews and resolve conflicts.
• Set up verification and integration: test plans and acceptance criteria.
• Carry the system from prototype toward a product and improve the systems engineering process.
