Job summary

Adyen’s Storage Team in Amsterdam designs, deploys, and maintains scalable data storage infrastructure to support global payments and analytics workloads. You’ll own end-to-end data storage strategy, ensuring reliability, performance, and security across SAN and object storage platforms.

We expect 5+ years in Linux storage administration, hands-on CEPH and enterprise storage experience, plus scripting skills and familiarity with cloud storage and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience focused on storage.
• Experience with enterprise storage systems (Purestorage, NetApp, EMC, Dell, IBM, Hitachi).
• Strong knowledge of RAID, LVM, NFS, iSCSI, multipathing and file systems.
• Hands-on experience with clustering technologies.
• Scripting in shell; Python, Puppet or Ansible.
• Familiar with cloud storage like AWS S3 and EBS.
• Experience with monitoring tools Nagios, Prometheus, Zabbix.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy storage infrastructure (SAN, Object Storage).
• Monitor and maintain storage systems for performance and reliability.
• Perform capacity planning for future storage needs.
• Develop backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Troubleshoot storage issues and maintain docs.
• Collaborate with other teams on upgrades and migrations.
• Automate storage provisioning with scripting or IaC tools.
