Job summary

Adyen in Amsterdam is seeking a Storage Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable data storage solutions. You’ll own end-to-end storage infrastructure, including SAN and object storage, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.

You have 5+ years in Linux storage, experience with Ceph and enterprise storage (Purestorage, NetApp, EMC, Dell, IBM, Hitachi), scripting in shell, Python, Ansible or Puppet, and familiarity with VMware/KVM and cloud storage (AWS S3/EBS).

Qualifications

• 5+ years Linux systems administration focused on storage
• Experience with enterprise storage systems (e.g., Purestorage, NetApp, EMC, Dell, IBM, Hitachi)
• Strong understanding of RAID, LVM, NFS, iSCSI, multipathing, and file systems
• Hands-on with enterprise storage systems and clustering technologies
• Proficiency in shell scripting; Python, Puppet or Ansible
• Knowledge of virtualization tech (VMware or KVM) and cloud storage (AWS S3/EBS)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Zabbix)

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy storage infrastructure (SAN, Object Storage) per organizational needs
• Monitor and maintain storage systems for performance and reliability
• Perform capacity planning and forecasting for future storage needs
• Develop and implement backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies
• Troubleshoot storage system issues and maintain documentation
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering teams on upgrades, migrations, integrations
• Automate storage provisioning and management using scripting or IaC tools
