Job summary

Salt is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in Amsterdam to join a high-performing platform team responsible for operating a mission-critical event processing platform.

This contract role (3–6 months) offers hybrid work with two days onsite, exposure to large-scale distributed systems, cloud migrations, CI/CD, IaC, and a rotating on-call schedule to ensure reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience as an SRE/DevOps in high-scale production environments.
• Hands-on with API management, AWS, IaC tools, CI/CD, observability tooling.
• Experience with distributed systems and high transaction volumes.
• Excellent communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end reliability of production services.
• Lead incident response and post-mortems.
• Improve observability with monitoring and dashboards.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and IaC solutions.
• Drive automation to reduce toil and improve efficiency.
• Support performance testing and capacity planning.
• Contribute to cloud migration initiatives.
• Collaborate across engineering teams on reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotation for high availability.
