Job summary

The Next Chapter W&S is seeking a highly capable test automation leader to own our automated testing platform and CI infrastructure. You will design the framework, manage data, and drive cross-team smoke tests across our NL, BE, DK, and DE markets.

You will coach teams to write local end-to-end tests within the platform, and collaborate closely with product and QA colleagues to translate insights into robust regression coverage.

Qualifications

• An organized, methodical, and flexible team player with a clear vision for test automation.
• Someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills who actively seeks connection with product teams and other QA colleagues.
• A proactive, hands-on leader ("meewerkend voorman") with an independent work ethic, who isn't afraid to dive deep into 'flake discipline' to tackle testing issues at their root.
• A strong driving force who tightly structures and safeguards the CI testing phases.
• Analytically minded, eager to learn, and always up-to-date with the latest methodologies (such as LLM-as-a-judge frameworks).
• Proven experience in software development or software testing, with a track record of setting up robust test platform architectures.

Responsibilities

• System & Architecture: design the test framework, manage the test data lifecycle, and build a stable, cross-team smoke suite spanning NL, BE, DK, and DE.
• Tech-Lead & Coaching: coach and support teams in writing their own local E2E tests within the platform.
• Execution & Communication: translate exploratory testing insights into automated regression coverage in collaboration with teammates.
• Autonomous Future: calibrate confidence in the transition toward fully autonomous product development.
