Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Specialist, Fund Reporting to join our Regulatory Reporting Team located in Amsterdam. The role focuses on ensuring accurate, timely regulatory reporting for investment funds domiciled in the Netherlands, collaborating with our team in Wrocław and meeting requirements set by the European Central Bank (ECB), De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), and other regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities
- Set work priorities in line with business needs and reporting deadlines.
- Manage monthly and quarterly regulatory reporting requirements across multiple funds and clients.
- Support the preparation, review, and delivery of accurate, timely, and complete reporting submissions.
- Assist in resolving escalated issues arising during monthly or quarterly regulatory reporting cycles.
- Perform reviews, validations, reconciliations, and control checks related to reporting outputs.
- Ensure adherence to established processes and procedures, while operating in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and clients, including collaboration across the Amsterdam and Wrocław team locations.
- Escalate issues, risks, and exceptions in a timely and effective manner.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce audit and financial exposure and enhance team efficiency.
- Contribute to a strong control environment and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay current with evolving regulatory reporting requirements and ensure reporting activities remain aligned with applicable standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Compliance, or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2–5 years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- Dutch language skills preferred.
- General knowledge of the economy, financial markets, and accounting principles.
- High level of motivation and willingness to learn in a team‑oriented environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong Excel skills and prior experience working with spreadsheets in a reporting environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under recurring reporting deadlines.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in regulatory reporting, fund reporting, financial reporting, or related operational processes.
- Familiarity with control‑focused environments and adherence to documented procedures.
- Experience working with internal stakeholders and clients in a financial services or professional services environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency.
