Job summary

Canon EMEA in Amstelveen, Netherlands is seeking a functional and technical expert to translate business requirements into effective IT solutions while ensuring stability and continuous improvement across enterprise platforms such as Oracle Siebel, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and custom .NET.

You will drive project delivery and application support, contribute to roadmaps, develop and maintain web applications and RESTful APIs using C# and ASP.NET Core, and work with Azure, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or proven experience.
• Experience delivering IT solutions, application support and enterprise application landscapes.
• Experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Siebel and custom .NET solutions.
• 6+ years of professional experience in C# and .NET (.NET 6+).
• Strong ASP.NET Core Web API/MVC experience and SOLID principles.
• Hands-on with SQL databases and ORM frameworks like EF Core and/or Dapper.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Assess solution impacts, costs, timelines, and risks to support project delivery.
• Drive the implementation and adoption of new IT solutions and enhancements.
• Act as a subject matter expert for assigned business applications and processes.
• Support complex incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external suppliers across EMEA.
• Support governance, compliance, audit, and control requirements.
• Contribute to roadmaps, service improvements, and future platform enhancements.
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications, APIs, and backend services using C# and .NET (ASP.NET Core).
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and third-party services.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and testable code following SOLID and patterns.
• Design and support integrations between enterprise platforms and custom apps.
• Work with SQL Server and PostgreSQL using EF Core and/or Dapper.
• Develop and maintain automated tests, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and agile ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and operation in Azure.
• Document designs, standards, decisions, and procedures.

As a functional and technical expert, you will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, suppliers, and project teams to translate business requirements into effective solutions while ensuring operational stability and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in both project delivery and application support, helping Canon maximize the value of its technology investments across EMEA. The role supports a diverse application landscape, including Oracle (Siebel), Salesforce (SFDC), ServiceNow and custom .NET applications, offering broad exposure to enterprise technologies and business processes.

• Promote best practices in software development, security, maintainability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or proven experience.
• Strong experience in IT solution delivery, application support, business systems management, and enterprise application landscapes.
• Experience working with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Siebel and custom-developed .NET solutions.
• 6+ years of professional experience developing applications using C# and .NET (.NET 6 or later).
• Strong experience with ASP.NET Core Web API and/or MVC development.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, application architecture, SOLID principles, and software design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases and ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework Core and/or Dapper.
• Experience developing integrations, RESTful APIs, and interfacing with third-party systems and services.
• Familiarity with source control, DevOps tooling, and CI/CD practices, including Git, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest) and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience deploying, monitoring, and supporting applications within Microsoft Azure environments.
• Knowledge of IT Operations, incident management, problem management, application lifecycle management, and IT governance controls.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders in international environments.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
