Science [&] Technology Corporation in Delft seeks a Senior Space System Engineer to lead the development of our onboard computing platform for Earth observation missions.
You will define and manage requirements, perform system-level trade-offs, assess risks, and guide integration, testing, verification and validation activities across multidisciplinary teams of FPGA, embedded, electronics and mechanical engineers, aiming for ECSS-compliant, high-performance solutions.
We are currently looking for a Senior Space SystemEngineer to join our team in Delft.
As Earth observation missions continue to demand higher-resolution sensors and increasingly intelligent payloads, the need for a new generation of onboard processing capabilities is growing rapidly. Processing data directly in space enables faster decision-making, reduces bandwidth requirements, and unlocks entirely new mission concepts. At S&T, we are developing the next generation of onboard processing platforms that combine high-performance electronics, advanced software, and AI to bring these enhanced capabilities into orbit as quickly as possible.
As aSenior Space System Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of our first-generation onboard computing platform. You will be responsible for definition and maintenance of the system engineering processes throughout the complete life cycle of the platform. Your responsibilities include managing requirements and trade-offs, conducting technical risk assessments, developing and executing methods for system integration, test, verification and validation and developing and maintaining system engineering documentation.
You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including System Architects, FPGA Engineers, Embedded Systems Engineers, Electronics Engineers and Mechanical Engineers, to develop high-performance, reliable products for demanding environments.
This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple engineering disciplines, combine technologies into innovative solutions, and make a direct impact on the development of advanced products within a dynamic, high-tech organization.
Please note that if you do not hear back from us within 10 days of your application, you may assume that we have selected another candidate we would like to interview for this position. We do our best to get back to you individually; however, due to a high volume of responses, it can be that we have not been able to reject your application in person.
