Job summary
PB Projects is seeking a Solar PV Engineer for the Netherlands. You will design and develop safe, cost-effective rooftop PV solutions for commercial and industrial sites, from feasibility to handover.
Work closely with project management and other technical teams to ensure designs meet Dutch standards and installation needs. The role requires 3–6 years in renewable energy or electrical engineering, strong Dutch proficiency and experience with AutoCAD / PV tools.
Qualifications
- 3–6 years in Solar PV or electrical engineering.
- Experience with PV layouts, string configurations and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of Dutch standards (NEN 1010, NEN 3140) and grid connection.
- Proficient in Dutch and good English.
- Experience with AutoCAD and PV design tools is an advantage.
- Hybrid work model with site visits.
Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for PV projects.
- Prepare PV layouts, DC/AC designs, cables and specs.
- Develop drawings, calculations and technical specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with Dutch standards and grid rules.
- Provide engineering input for planning and risk assessments.
- Evaluate supplier documentation and equipment.
- Support installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
- Contribute to standardized designs and best practices.
