Job summary

Allseas is seeking a Senior System Engineer to lead the design and implementation of in-house software that powers cutting-edge offshore equipment. You will guide a multidisciplinary team to transform sensor data and simulations into actionable software products.

You will steer architecture for monitoring, dashboards, and automation, ensuring alignment with mechanical goals and digital intelligence. Offshore exposure and ownership are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in programming, software architecture, and monitoring of mechanical systems.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Willingness to learn and work independently.

Are you a hands-on System Engineer with a passion for solving complex engineering problems? Do you thrive at the intersection of software, data, and mechanical systems? Join Allseas’ Software & Industrial Data Science team and lead the development of engineering solutions with the expert use of software for some of the most ambitious offshore operations in the world.

Your role

As System Engineer (senior), you will spearhead the design and implementation of in-house software solutions that power Allseas’ cutting-edge equipment. Working in a multidisciplinary innovation team, you’ll drive projects that transform raw sensor data and simulation outputs into meaningful, actionable software products.

You will guide a team of engineers in architecting reliable, scalable, and user-centric solutions—from real-time monitoring and operational dashboards to bespoke engineering tools and automation systems. Your leadership will be key in aligning software development with broader engineering goals, ensuring a seamless bridge between mechanical complexity and digital intelligence.

To be successful in this role you are solution-minded, resourceful and you have the ability to work independently, taking ownership of assigned responsibilities. You are able to learn concepts and technical details of complex systems and thrive by working in a dynamic, creative environment.

Additional points

• Solid grasp of DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab).
• Experience in developing engineering and simulation tools for physical systems or process optimization.
• Willingness to occasionally work offshore to support system commissioning and testing.
