Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Security Incident Response Lead to monitor events, drive incident handling, and guide insider threat investigations. The role focuses on practical security operations and collaboration with legal, compliance, and engineering teams.

Based in the Netherlands, you’ll contribute to a global incident response program, mentor colleagues, and participate in a flexible, remote-friendly work environment aligned to UK hours for regional coverage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Security Incident Response.
• Ability to communicate findings to technical staff, exec leadership, and legal.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and tooling.
• Mentor security operation engineers on data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Lead security incidents including monitoring, triage, and cross-team coordination.
• Experience with macOS, Windows, and Linux forensics.
• Experience using SIEM for log reviews.
• Experience in cloud security (AWS, GCP).
• Participation in on-call rotations; willingness to work outside standard hours.
• EMEA hours aligned to UK time; flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and provide technical analysis on alerts.
• Lead information security incidents and employee insider investigations, guiding response and closure.
• Deliver clear security guidance for incident response and insider threat initiatives.
• Coordinate building services, capabilities, integrations, and implementations to support security operations.
• Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as we scale globally across offices.
• Participate in our on-call rota covering weekends.
