Key Responsibilities
- Machine-learning modelling with graph data science: production Neo4j Cypher queries, traversal logic, GraphRAG, knowledge graphs, property graph data models and embedding vectors.
- ML modelling on tabular data: feature engineering, cross-validation design, model selection, interpretability, especially multivariate statistical analysis interpretation and communication of results.
- Building, validating, and maintaining predictive performance models in all business units, based on data from a variety of sources that would come from our business units.
- Agentic AI tooling: Azure, Bedrock, artifact generation, storage and processing, and unit testing of these. LLM tooling, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, structured output design.
- Production quality code in Python, pandas, polars, numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, FastAPI, git, and working with CI/CD pipelines is non-negotiable. Comfortable moving between exploratory scripts and production code, co-coding, reviewing human and agent-generated PRs.
- Scientific communication: able to translate model outputs into decision-relevant language for non-technical stakeholders. Identify and communicate opportunities for commercialization of research outcomes and collaborate with business units to realize these opportunities.

Qualifications
- Ph.D., master’s degree or similar experience in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Structural Biology, Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
- 5+ years of additional academic or industrial work experience in the chemical industry, bio- and cheminformatics or formulation space.
- Demonstrated experience working in high-performance teams, fostering collaboration, and guiding technical work to successful outcomes.
- Record of accomplishments demonstrating high drive and keen entrepreneurial innovation and ability to provide insights based on data analysis to inform business decisions.
