SBM Offshore seeks a Senior Safety & Loss Prevention Engineer to safeguard FPSO and turret designs by identifying major hazards and driving safe, compliant solutions. You will lead SLP activities across FEED, EPCI, and brownfield phases, coordinating risk reviews, safety plans, and third-party studies while mentoring teams in safety-by-design practices.

Requires 5–10 years in offshore SLP engineering, with strong communication across multidisciplinary groups and proficiency in HAZID/HAZOP/SIL,

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in Safety & Loss Prevention for offshore projects (FPSO/FLNG).
• Experience with safety methods and software: HAZID/HAZOP/SIL, risk assessment tools.
• Strong communication in multidisciplinary, multicultural environments.

Responsabilités

• Lead SLP scope on FPSO projects across FEED, EPCI, brownfield phases.
• Plan and run risk reviews and safety workshops (HAZID/HAZOP/SIL).
• Define safety concepts, plans, and hazard classifications.
• Engineer fire protection and integrate safety into overall design.
• Manage third‑party safety studies and ensure closure of actions.
• Provide functional safety input and support change control.
• Interface with clients, class societies, yards and vendors on safety topics.
• Mentor colleagues to improve safety-by-design practices.
