Job summary

Philips in Best, Netherlands, seeks a Senior Software Architect for Robotic Procedure Automation. You will own architecture for RPA UI and clinical software, drive technical direction, and coordinate across workflow, usability, and system integration.

Travel ~15% to cross-site efforts. You will contribute to regulated medical-device software execution under IEC 62304 and ISO 13485, ensuring design history, traceability, and security considerations are aligned with the roadmap.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software architecture, software design and implementation in C++, systems integration, or regulated medical-device software development.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and technical direction for RPA UI and clinical/application software across workflows and interfaces.
• Guide the creation and realization of software architecture within the release train, ensuring nonfunctional and regulatory compliance.
• Lead design and development for RPA UI and clinical workflow software, including detailed design reviews and alignment with roadmap.
• Lead integration and architecture efforts across clinical workflows, robotic systems, external interfaces, and AI solutions.
• Support IEC 62304 and ISO 13485 processes, traceability, verification planning, and design history file growth.
• Consult on product security topics and align security considerations with UI and architecture.
• Collaborate with engineers, UX, product, Verification, cybersecurity, DevOps, and cross-site teams to align plans.
