Job summary

Amdax, Amsterdam-based crypto-asset service provider, seeks a Senior Risk Manager to identify, assess, and mitigate financial and non-financial risks across the organization.

You will own the ICT Risk Management Policy, lead the Quarterly Risk Committee and annual DORA governance, collaborate across departments, and report directly to the Board. This role includes an equity package and a competitive monthly salary.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in non-financial risk management or IT security.
• Experience in fintech, crypto-asset environments preferred.
• Proven ability to implement regulatory compliance frameworks (DORA, MiCAR).

Job description

Join our assurance team as a Senior Risk Manager Officer and help us strengthen our position as a leading crypto-asset service provider. In this key assurance position, you will identify, assess, and help mitigate financial and non-financial risks across our organization.

We are looking for a proactive professional with strong Enterprise Risk Management expertise and view, who can develop and implement effective risk strategies aligned with regulations like DORA, GDPR, MiCAR and the WwFT. You'll collaborate directly with management and staff to protect both our business and clients. You will take up a role with high impact for a young organization.

As a Senior Risk Manager you will:

• Be the owner of the (ICT) Risk Management Policy and the accompanying GRC tooling;
• Be responsible for the Quarterly Risk Committee, the annual SIRA and the annual DORA RoI;
• Conduct risk assessments to identify emerging threats across market, credit, operational, IT, and cybersecurity domains;
• Build risk awareness and support business teams in implementing effective control measures;
• Collaborate across departments to design and implement strategic risk controls;
• Expand the Risk Management framework with special focus on ICT risks and make enhancements to the risk framework based on regulations, evolving market conditions and/or incidents;
• Serve as a Senior Member of the Yield Investment Committee, articulating an independent voice on strategies and risks;
• Serve as key escalation point during security incidents, coordinating crisis response;
• Stay current on crypto asset market developments to maintain compliant and relevant for Amdax stakeholders;
• Implement risk management training modules and foster a company-wide risk-aware culture;
• Report directly to the Board.

What we require from you:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Computer Science, or Law; advanced degrees (MBA, Master's) or professional certifications (FRM, CFA, CISA, RE or RO) are considered a plus;
• Minimum 8 years of experience in non-financial risk management and/or IT security, preferably within financial services, fintech, or crypto-asset environments;
• Being able to apply your knowledge and experience to a wide variety of challenges;
• Collaborative mindset with experience working and facilitating collaboration across departments to implement controls;
• Proven track record in developing and implementing regulatory compliance frameworks (DORA, MiFID and/or MiCAR) with strong knowledge of risk management processes and best practices;
• Sharp analytical skills and critical thinking abilities to design effective risk mitigation strategies;
• Excellent communication skills for translating complex risk concepts into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders;
• Proactive "can do" attitude with a solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving, balancing risk versus upside;
• Proficiency in Dutch is a strong advantage.

• Salary: EUR 6.500-8.000 per month, including an Amdax equity package, depending on your seniority level;
