Your career and the team
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Compliance Officer based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, to strengthen and further develop our internal compliance function. As an MiCAR-licensed crypto-asset service provider, we are focused on maintaining the highest regulatory standards while pursuing our strategic growth ambitions in the European market.
In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and support the continued design, enhancement, and implementation of our compliance framework in line with MiCAR, AML/CFT, and other applicable Dutch and European regulatory requirements. You will play a central role in embedding regulatory obligations into daily operations and ensuring our control environment remains robust, scalable, and future-proof.
You will be actively involved in MiCAR implementation and ongoing regulatory alignment, acting as a trusted internal advisor on compliance-related matters across the organisation. Working closely with the Anti-Financial Crime function and the Board of Directors, you will help ensure consistent adherence to both local and international requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional who thrives in a regulated yet entrepreneurial environment and is looking to grow within the crypto-asset sector — with a clear pathway toward taking on broader leadership responsibilities as the organisation continues to expand.
The role is available on a part-time basis (24h-32h per week).
Your daily adventures will include
- Advising the business on compliance and regulatory matters, while monitoring adherence to internal policies, procedures, and applicable legal requirements.
- Supporting licensing and regulatory applications, and engaging with competent authorities in the Netherlands and other relevant jurisdictions.
- Monitoring developments in crypto-asset regulation (including MiCAR and related frameworks) and translating regulatory changes into practical, risk-based guidance in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Developing, reviewing, and enhancing compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with existing and upcoming laws and regulations.
- Providing strategic and risk-based compliance advice to the Chief Compliance Officer and the Management Board.
- Working closely with the Anti-Financial Crime department to ensure a robust and coherent Anti-Financial Crime control framework, including policies, procedures, and monitoring mechanisms.
- Setting up a future-proof internal compliance department and growing the team
