Realty Income Europe B.V. seeks a Senior Accountant - Real Estate in Amsterdam for a 1-year fixed contract.

The role involves monthly financial reporting, complex journal entries, reconciliations, and property-acquisition accounting, working with auditors and property managers to ensure accurate, timely performance as Realty Income expands across Europe. The ideal candidate has post-qualified experience in commercial real estate, strong finance skills, and an ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent

Qualifications

• Post-qualified accounting experience within commercial real estate.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting standards.
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, close papers, and analysis.
• Ability to meet strict monthly/quarterly reporting deadlines.
• Excellent communication with internal teams, auditors, and service providers.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close for balance-sheet and income-statement accounts.
• Prepare complex journal entries, reconciliations, analysis, and commentary.
• Support audits and internal-control walkthroughs for local requirements.
• Analyse general-ledger data for revenue, expenses, equity, and loans.
• Record property acquisitions and assist onboarding.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and integrate third-party data.
• Provide quarterly disclosures and reporting for joint-venture partners.
• Oversee third-party property managers in operational accounting.
