Job summary

MediaMarkt BeNeLux zoekt een ervaren Senior R2R Accountant om het Record-to-Report-proces nauwkeurig, volledig en tijdig uit te voeren.

Je sluit maandelijks en jaarlijks af, verzorgt rapportages en consolidaties en bereidt audits voor. Samen met de Global Business Shared Services in Barcelona verbeter je R2R-processen en ben je sparringpartner bij IFRS-vraagstukken.

Qualifications

• Bachelor- of masterdiploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics of gelijkwaardig.
• Minimaal 5 jaar relevante ervaring in accounting, Record-to-Report of audit.
• Sterke kennis van IFRS en financiële verslaglegging.
• Ervaring met financiële consolidatie.
• Sterke SAP-kennis en geavanceerde Excel-vaardigheden.
• Uitstekende analytische en probleemoplossende vaardigheden.
• Ook onder druk werken en strakke deadlines halen.
• Sterke communicatie en stakeholder-management vaardigheden.
• Vloeiend Engels; Nederlands is een pré.

Responsibilities

• Beheer en voer de R2R-procedures uit, inclusief maand- en jaarafsluiting.
• Voorbereiden en controleren van financiële rapportages en consolidaties.
• Uitvoeren van balanseer- en P&L-reconciliaties en zorgen voor nauwkeurige boekhouding.
• Ondersteunen van audits, wettelijke rapportage en naleving.
• Functioneren als sparringpartner voor de Finance Manager op IFRS-gebied.
• Zorg dragen voor nauwe samenwerking met het Global Business Shared Services-team in Barcelona.
• Identificeren en implementeren van verbeteringen in R2R-processen en controles.
• Ondersteunen van belastingboekhouding, inclusief btw-rapportage.

Your scope of work

Are you an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in Record-to-Report (R2R), financial reporting and consolidation? As a Senior R2R Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate, complete and timely execution of the Record-to-Report process for MediaMarkt BeNeLux.
You will be closely involved in the month-end and year-end closing processes, financial reporting, consolidation and audit preparation. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will act as a trusted sparring partner on accounting, consolidation and reporting matters.

At the same time, you will have an active role in improving and further professionalizing our R2R processes. You willtake end-to-end ownership of your assigned processes and work closely with our Global Business Shared Services team in Barcelona to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.

• Own and execute the R2R process, including month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare and review financial reporting and consolidations.
• Perform balance sheet and P&L reconciliations and ensure accounting accuracy.
• Support audits, statutory reporting and compliance activities.
• Act as a sparring partner for the Finance Manager on accounting and IFRS matters.
• Work closely with the Global Business Shared Services team in Barcelona.
• Identify and implement improvements to R2R processes, controls and systems.
• Support tax accounting activities, including VAT reporting.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree inFinance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Accounting, Record-to-Report, Audit or a similar financial role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
• Experience with financial consolidation.
• Strong knowledge of SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
