Job summary

QuantWare is seeking a Senior Quantum R&D Engineer – Processors to join its Quantum Processor team. The role focuses on improving processor performance through on-chip architectures, cryogenic measurements, and end-to-end development.

You will own designs, collaborate with fabrication teams, and contribute to large-scale QPUs. Requirements include 5+ years in multi-qubit superconducting device development, deep knowledge of cQED and microwave circuits, and proficiency with Python and quantum

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in multi-qubit superconducting quantum device development.
• Deep understanding of cQED, quantum microwave circuits and superconducting qubits.
• Extensive experience in design and cryogenic measurement of superconducting qubit circuits.
• Proficiency in Python and software tools for quantum design (HFSS, Comsol, pyEPR, scqubits, Quantum Metal, KLayout).
• Proactive, detail-oriented mindset with drive to scale quantum technology.
• Thrive in a collaborative environment and own from day one.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and layout next-generation superconducting processor architectures.
• Perform cryogenic measurements to validate designs and inform iterations.
• Own device or component development from concept to iteration.
• Automate design, simulation, and measurement workflows.
• Collaborate closely with design and measurement engineers for rapid design-to-test cycles.
