Job summary

SMART Photonics is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to strengthen the quality team and drive the next growth phase. You will own and mature the Quality Management System, participate in internal/external audits, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across product and process introductions.

You will coordinate problem solving (8D, RCA, CAPA, FMEA), enhance process yield, uptime and product quality, and deliver training to ensure robust quality across development, production and supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field (Electrical/Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, etc.).
• 10+ years in a commercial manufacturing environment, preferably semiconductor.
• Experience with FMEA, 8D, CAPA and problem solving.
• Strong data analysis skills and Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
• Excellent communication and willingness to document and coach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and mature the Quality Management System and integrate ISO standards.
• Manage internal audits, CAPAs, and support supplier/customer audits.
• Lead problem solving (8D, RCA, CAPA, FMEA) with stakeholders.
• Ensure quality in new product introductions and production improvements.
• Coordinate quality training and promotion of continual improvement.
• Support ad-hoc requests and drive ownership of improvement initiatives.
