Job summary

SMART Photonics in Eindhoven is seeking a Defectivity Engineer to own defect detection, classification and reduction across the full process flow, from substrates to final metallization.

You will translate inspection data into priorities, lead root-cause investigations with process and equipment teams, and drive improvements that boost yield and cost efficiency. We welcome both Medior and Senior candidates.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in physics, materials science, electrical engineering or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the in-line inspection strategy and defect specs for current and new processes.
• Lead root-cause investigations and containment for defect excursions and customer complaints.
• Develop dashboards to monitor line health by correlating defect data with end-of-line results.
• Drive defect reduction programs with process and equipment teams and maintain defect library.
