Job summary

Locus is seeking a Senior Python/AI developer to join our Amsterdam team. You’ll build automation for customer workflows, connect cloud AI models to our data, and translate outputs into production‑ready tasks within a lean codebase using Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and Redis.

You’ll collaborate with real estate domain experts, mentor colleagues, and help shape backend architecture with event‑driven principles and CQRS while working in a hybrid setup with three days in Amsterdam and two days

Qualifications

• Experience applying cloud AI tooling to automate workflows.
• Strong experience building Python applications, ideally with FastAPI.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, transactions, and backend design.
• Experience with event‑driven systems and event‑sourcing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Turn repetitive, error‑prone steps in customer workflows into automation using prototypes.
• Expose data to models and translate outputs into actionable tasks in the app.
• Balance response time, cost, and data privacy when evaluating results.
• Write maintainable code and domain‑focused tests for business flows.
• Collaborate with domain experts and iterate on feedback.
