Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. in the Netherlands is seeking a Lead Python Full-Stack Engineer to join a hybrid team building scalable, cloud-native applications with integrated AI/ML capabilities.

You will fuse Python backend expertise with frontend React/TypeScript to deliver end-to-end features. You'll design and optimize microservices on Azure, implement RAG pipelines, and shape architecture through reviews and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python
• Strong backend development experience with FastAPI or similar Python frameworks
• Frontend proficiency in React.js and TypeScript
• Hands-on AI/ML experience including LLM APIs or LangChain
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services and GitHub Actions CI/CD
• Experience with microservices, REST API design and Kubernetes
• Experience building RAG pipelines for AI/ML use cases
• SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Excellent English communication and documentation skills
• Nice to have Azure AI Foundry tools and GenAI workflows; Databricks exposure
• Familiarity with data engineering pipelines and DevOps practices

Requirements

• Strong backend development expertise using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks
• Proficiency in building frontends with React.js and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML solutions – including LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI) or LangChain
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions
• Solid understanding of microservices, REST API design and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience building RAG pipelines for AI/ML use cases
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Excellent communication and documentation skills in English
• Nice to have Experience with Azure AI Foundry tools and GenAI-assisted development workflows
• Familiarity with Databricks, data engineering pipelines
• Exposure to DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code
• Understanding of MLOps and model operationalization frameworks
• Knowledge of additional relational DBs (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server)
