🌍 About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading global engineering organization specializing in complex offshore, marine, and energy infrastructure projects.

This role is part of a high-impact project involving the preparation and execution of offshore export cable installation for a major US-based wind energy project, including nearshore/inshore scope and heavy transport of subsea cables from Asia to the United States.

The Role

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will take ownership of the full engineering scope across tenders and project execution, ensuring delivery against safety, quality, time, and budget requirements.

This is a technical leadership role combining engineering expertise, project management, and stakeholder engagement within complex offshore environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering activities across tenders, projects, and design phases
• Define and oversee installation methodologies for offshore cable projects (inshore/nearshore scope)
• Develop technical specifications, procedures, and engineering documentation aligned with client and contractual requirements
• Coordinate and manage internal teams and external engineering suppliers
• Own engineering scope definition, including planning, staffing, and budgeting
• Monitor and control project progress, cost, quality, and resource utilization
• Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks
• Present and defend engineering solutions to clients, surveyors, and stakeholders
• Supervise and review work of engineers, subcontractors, and project partners
• Support on-site execution activities when required (including occasional travel)
• Drive continuous improvement, lessons learned, and process optimization within the engineering function
• Provide leadership and coaching to engineering team members

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in offshore, marine, or large-scale infrastructure projects
• Strong background in project engineering and/or project management
• Proven experience working on complex engineering projects or tenders
• Solid understanding of offshore operations and execution environments
• Experience with engineering methods, tools, and discipline-specific software/models
• Strong knowledge of planning tools and MS Office applications
• Familiarity with drafting/design tools is a plus
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and external vendors
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in risk management and engineering decision-making
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Nice to Have

• Experience with offshore wind, subsea cable installation, or marine transport projects
• Familiarity with internal frameworks such as WoW / NINA
• Experience working on international projects, particularly US-based scopes
