Project Engineer – Subsea Energy | Hybrid | North Holland, Netherlands
Are you an engineer who thrives where complex design meets the open ocean? Do you want to lead the delivery of critical subsea energy projects? Not from the sidelines, but from the deck plate up?
We’re looking for an demonstrably experienced Project Engineer, proficient in CAD software, to join a growth-focused, energy solutions business to drive the execution of subsea construction and installation projects.
You won’t just review drawings, you’ll own the engineering lifecycle. From tender phase technical reviews and project kick-offs, to offshore construction delivery and documentation, you’ll be the engineering focal point ensuring every component is fit for purpose, on schedule, and safe.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
You’ll coordinate procurement, fabrication, and installation scopes; deliver technical briefings to vessel crews; and act as the go-to engineer for resolving complex offshore queries. You’ll interface directly with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, translating technical complexity into clear, actionable delivery.
If you understand ROV, diving, rope access, topside installation, rigging, and sea fastening, and you know how to make engineering decisions that hold up 100 metres below the surface, this role was built for you.
We're looking for someone who has good attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to coordinate information both internally and externally.
What does it mean for you?
Real impact – Your engineering decisions directly shape safe, efficient subsea energy delivery.
Hybrid flexibility – A balance of onshore planning and offshore execution.
End-to-end ownership – From tender to final handover, you’ll see your projects through.
Safety-first culture – You won’t just comply with QHSE standards; you'll lead with them.
Growth environment – Work alongside seasoned engineering leaders and expand your expertise across subsea disciplines.
