Job summary

Ventula Consulting is recruiting a Project Director for a major transport provider in the Netherlands to lead a large-scale vertical transportation replacement programme. The role requires senior VT expertise and the ability to drive delivery across lifts, escalators, and moving walkways with board-level visibility.

The candidate will manage multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate across operations, technical, and commercial functions, and ensure seamless phasing with ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in project or programme management within infrastructure, construction, or building services.
• Experience delivering in live environments (airports, rail, metro, retail).
• Experience managing tier-1 VT OEM contractors (Otis, KONE, Schindler, TK Elevator).
• Commercially astute — control capex budgets, manage variations, and hold contractors to account.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive delivery of the VT programme end-to-end.
• Lead cross-functional teams across operations, technical, commercial, and safety.
• Presents programme status to board level.
• Operate in a matrix environment coordinating multiple stakeholders.
