Job description

At Booking.com, data drives our decisions, technology is at our core, and innovation is everywhere. But our company is more than datasets, lines of code or A/B tests. We're the thrill of the first night in a new place. The excitement of the next morning. The friends you make. The journeys you take. The sights you see. And the food you sample. Through our products, partners and people, we empower everyone to experience the world.

About the FinTech Department

The FinTech department builds products that remove friction from travel payments and unlock new value for our customers and partners. We process billions of euros annually across 200+ markets, managing everything from payment collection and partner payouts to fraud protection, chargeback management, and regulatory compliance. Our products directly impact partner satisfaction, platform economics, and guest experience.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager (People Manager) to lead the Partner Payments product marketing track within our FinTech PMM team. This is a dual role: you will drive strategic product marketing delivery on our most impactful partner-facing payment initiatives while leading and developing a team of 2-4 (Senior) Product Marketing Managers.

Partner Payments is the largest track within FinTech PMM. Your team is responsible for how we position, price, communicate, and scale our payment products to over 2 million properties globally. This includes the Partner Payment Model, VCC and Bank Transfer payouts, partner onboarding, churn reduction, and regulatory-driven payment changes.

You will report to the Group Product Marketing Manager, FinTech, and work closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, UX Research, Commercial Excellence, Legal, and regional partner-facing teams (LPS, PS, Global Accounts).

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Product Marketing
  • Own the end-to-end GTM strategy and execution for Partner Payments initiatives, from opportunity definition and market sizing through validation, launch, scaling, and retention.
  • Develop and maintain the Payments by Booking.com partner narrative, including value proposition, pricing positioning, and objection handling frameworks.
  • Drive insights-led segmentation of our global partner base to define target markets, phasing, and differentiated GTM approaches across partner types, countries, and payment models.
  • Lead multi-channel GTM campaigns across Extranet, Pulse, email, Partner Hub, LPS, CS, and PS, ensuring the right message reaches the right partners at the right moment.
  • Own the measurement framework for GTM initiatives, defining success metrics based on business outcomes (adoption, retention, revenue) not just marketing funnel metrics.
  • Represent the partner perspective in product development. Bring outside-in insights to product teams through research, partner feedback, and competitive intelligence.
  • Manage complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders across FinTech, ABU, Legal, Compliance, and regional teams.
People Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 2-4 PMMs at various seniority and experience levels, from onboarding new hires to supporting senior team members in their growth.
  • Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and create individual development plans aligned with both team goals and personal career aspirations.
  • Run effective performance management, including constructive conversations around growth areas and recognition of strong performance.
  • Foster a collaborative, feedback-rich team culture where people feel safe to experiment, share mistakes, and learn from each other.
  • Balance delegation with hands-on involvement: know when to guide and when to step back, ensuring the team delivers while building long-term capability.
  • Hire and onboard new team members as the team evolves.
Internal Enablement & Stakeholder Management
  • Own internal communication and enablement for Partner Payments GTM across LPS, CS, PS, Commercial Excellence, and other stakeholder groups.
  • Build and maintain playbooks, training materials, FAQs, and enablement sessions so partner-facing teams can confidently communicate payment changes and handle objections.
  • Operate as a trusted partner to senior leadership (Directors, VPs) across FinTech and ABU, proactively sharing insights, flagging risks, and influencing decisions.
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience
  • 6 plus years in product marketing, GTM strategy, or a closely related role, with at least 2 years managing direct reports.
  • Proven track record owning end-to-end GTM for scalable B2B or marketplace products.
  • Experience working on a two-sided marketplace, with understanding of how to balance partner and customer needs.
  • Experience working closely with product, engineering, and data teams in a high-velocity, iterative product development environment.
  • Affinity with fintech, payments, or financial products. Ability to navigate pricing, regulatory, and compliance topics confidently.
Skills
  • GTM ownership: Can design and execute a full GTM from segmentation to measurement, across multiple channels and markets simultaneously.
  • Narrative and positioning: Can translate complex payment and pricing products into clear, compelling, partner-centric value propositions.
  • Data-driven: Comfortable with data, analytics, and experimentation. Can define metrics, interpret results, and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Stakeholder management: Can operate in a matrixed environment, influence without direct authority, and align diverse stakeholders across FinTech, ABU, Legal, and regional teams.
  • People leadership: Can coach, develop, and hold a team accountable while creating psychological safety and a growth-oriented culture.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication. Can build crisp decks, narratives, and briefs that are easy to understand and act on at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinking: Can connect long-term business goals with short-term GTM choices and trade-offs. Sees the big picture without losing sight of execution.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with ambiguity, changing priorities, and fast-moving environments. Can switch between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in travel, hospitality, or e-commerce
  • Experience managing remote or hybrid teams
  • Experience with regulatory or compliance-driven product changes
  • Basic querying or analytics skills (SQL, Tableau, or similar)
What We Offer
  • A high-impact role at the intersection of product, payments, and partner experience
  • A team that is building the payment narrative for one of the world's largest travel platforms
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership (Directors, VPs, SVP) across FinTech and ABU
  • A collaborative, feedback-driven team culture
  • The opportunity to shape how 2M+ partners worldwide experience and value our payment products
  • Competitive compensation, relocation support, and Booking.com employee benefits
