Job summary

Elsevier, a global leader in scientific content, seeks a Senior Product Manager to define and deliver machine and AI access strategies for ScienceDirect content. You will collaborate with product, tech, legal and commercial teams to shape access, governance, and monetization in an evolving AI ecosystem.

You will lead API and developer-facing initiatives, drive pilots, and build the entitlement model while aligning stakeholders to ensure scalable, value-driven products for researchers, clinicians

Qualifications

• Proven digital product management competencies with high standards.
• Ability to use data and experiments to drive decisions.
• Experience owning API, data or developer-facing products and shipping with Eng teams.
• Translate between technical and commercial audiences with architects/engineers.
• Experience with licensing, entitlement, packaging or pricing is helpful.
• Familiarity with how AI apps consume content (e.g., RAG, agents).
• Strong communication and collaboration across functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategy for machine and AI access to content.
• Translate strategy into product roadmap and lead delivery with engineering.
• Lead customer discovery and pilots to validate machine-to-machine use cases.
• Shape entitlement model and access tiers for machine use.
• Measure and report machine usage value for customers.
• Monitor competitive landscape and feed insights into decisions.
