Job summary

Neste Netherlands B.V. is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for the Rotterdam (Maasvlakte) site. The role focuses on mid- to long-term unit operations, supporting Operations with day-to-day monitoring, and driving safe, compliant, and efficient refinery performance.

You will lead technical responsibilities, monitor unit performance, and develop improvement ideas while collaborating with Operations and Maintenance. Strong experience in petrochemicals and refinery start-up is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in chemical engineering is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in petrochemical and/or industrial production.
• Experience with commissioning and start up of a new refinery is a strong preference.
• Based in the Netherlands and authorized to work in the Netherlands without requiring visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Technical expert of technology assigned unit.
• Identify deviations and provide pragmatic solutions in line with guidelines.
• Ensure to operate assigned unit within environmental boundaries.
• Unit performance monitoring related to compliance and process safety.
• Unit performance monitoring related to efficiency (i.e. energy, variable costs and OEE).
• Initiate and develop improvement ideas in a systematic manner.
• Shut-down/Start-up support during planned and unplanned events.
• Reviewer of operational shut-down/ start-up instructions.
