Senior PM, Search Infrastructure — Scale & AI Agents

Job summary

Tavily, part of Nebius, is the web access layer for AI agents. Amsterdam-based role leading search infrastructure, shaping quality standards, and collaborating with engineering, research, and customer success to deliver scalable retrieval systems.

You will balance coverage, freshness, latency and cost, define the index roadmap, and guide decisions as agents become the primary users of our search tech.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience, with a meaningful portion spent on high-scale search or ranking systems.
• Background as an engineer, ML engineer, or researcher on a production system in one of those areas.
• Direct experience shipping a search or ranking change end to end, including evaluation and outcomes.
• Strong data foundation for experimental design and eval result interpretation.
• Product judgment to match technical depth and defend decisions to engineers and customers.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, AI agents, and retrieval in agentic workflows.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set the quality bar and release criteria for search and determine what constitutes good per use case.
• Own depth, latency, and cost tradeoffs across search products and justify choices.
• Shape the direction of the index and what it needs to cover and how fresh it must be.
• Develop a roadmap for search infrastructure as agents become primary consumers.
• Compare alternatives and drive work to close gaps that matter.
• Collaborate with customer success to understand real workflow failures and translate into priorities.
• Coordinate with data and vertical product owners on corpus requirements and result shaping per industry.
