Job summary

Michael Bailey Associates GmbH is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and operate modern on-premise and hybrid infrastructure platforms in Amsterdam. The role combines hands-on work across Linux, virtualization, storage, networking and Kubernetes, with a focus on automation, IaC, day-2 operations and production readiness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Strong hands-on Linux experience.
• Proven datacenter/on-premise experience.
• Production Kubernetes administration experience.
• Experience with IaC and automation tooling.
• Ability to document architectures and runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate on-premise and hybrid infrastructure platforms.
• Deploy, configure and maintain bare-metal servers and virtualized environments.
• Build and operate production Kubernetes platforms.
• Perform Kubernetes day-2 operations, including upgrades, troubleshooting, networking and storage management.
• Maintain reliable and scalable infrastructure supporting business-critical workloads.
• Work across Linux OS, server hardware, virtualization, networking and storage.
• Implement automation and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions.
• Develop and maintain provisioning and operational automation using Terraform and Ansible.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation and operational runbooks.
• Contribute to improving platform reliability, scalability and operational processes.
• Support security hardening and compliance requirements.
