Job summary

ASICS is seeking a planning-minded professional based at our EMEA HQ near Amsterdam to own the ASICS.com forecast, stock, and discount for footwear, apparel and equipment. You will lead a junior planner and collaborate with merchandising, commercial and online marketing teams.

You’ll drive end-to-end planning, in-season reforecasts, and data-driven recommendations in a fast-paced environment while developing your team and influencing senior leaders with clear insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in merchandise planning or planning-focused merchandising.
• Direct-to-consumer planning experience, including e-commerce, in a fast-paced always-on environment.
• Strong ownership with retail metrics and levers that drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the ASICS.com plan end to end across footwear, apparel and equipment, forecasting sales, stock and discount.
• Lead the regular in-season reforecasting and adapt plans to trading needs.

Your role in our shared journey

Based at our EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam, you'll own the planning for ASICS.com, our full-price online store and the shop window of the brand. Across footwear, apparel and equipment, you'll forecast and reforecast sales, stock and discount, turn the numbers into clear recommendations, and lead a junior planner. You'll be part of a small full-price planning team, working hand in hand with merchandising, commercial and online marketing, with regular exposure to our DTC leadership.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

• Channel Planning Ownership: Own the ASICS.com plan end to end across footwear, apparel and equipment, forecasting sales, stock and discount for the season, the year and the month.
• In-Season Reforecasting: Lead the regular reforecast, react quickly to what's happening on an always-on website, and reprioritise when trading calls for it.
• Commercial Recommendations: Turn data into clear actions on stock, pricing and markdowns, and flag risks and opportunities early.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with merchandising, commercial, online marketing and supply planning so plans and product decisions stay aligned.
• People Leadership: Manage and develop a junior planner through regular one-to-ones, clear priorities and support to grow their impact across the business.
• Planning Tools & Process: Keep our Excel-based planning tools running smoothly, fix issues when they come up, and suggest improvements to how we plan.

Essential

You have the following skills:

• 5+ years' experience in merchandise planning, financial planning or a planning-focused merchandising role, with hands-on forecasting and reforecasting of sales, stock and discount.
• Direct-to-consumer planning experience, ideally including e-commerce, and comfort with the pace of an always-on trading environment.
• Commercially sharp, with real ownership. You've owned a category or channel, you know your retail numbers and different levers, and your recommendations change decisions.
• A natural coach. You enjoy helping others grow, whether that's supporting a junior colleague, onboarding a new starter or sharing what you know.
• Advanced Excel, including pivot tables and complex models, and confident enough to troubleshoot when something breaks.
• Clear, confident communication in English, comfortable presenting to senior leaders and speaking up in fast-paced discussions.

Nice To Have

• Experience in fashion, sportswear or footwear, a good feel for seasonal ranges, and experience in e-commerce.
• Experience managing or mentoring others. This can also be your first management role.
• Exposure to macros (VBA) or other advanced tooling in Excel and AI.
