Job summary

Lendable is seeking a Senior PHP Engineer based in Mexico to help grow Lenda, our credit card product for the Mexican market. You will join a small, cross-functional team with a startup mindset and significant ownership from day one.

We’re looking for an experienced, resourceful engineer who can collaborate across Product, Backend and Frontend, shape API and technical decisions, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver customer value quickly.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in PHP 8 and modern PHP frameworks (Symfony or Laravel).
• Strong English language skills (written and spoken).
• Experience with Domain Driven Design, event-driven architectures and CQRS.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing (unit/integration/functional).
• Ability to own decisions and work autonomously in a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product, Backend and Frontend to deliver customer value quickly.
• Shape API and technical decisions for Lenda credit card product.
• Scale a new product with ownership from an early stage.
• Participate in architecture discussions and ensure code quality.
