Job summary

Lendable in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to drive API design and platform innovations across backend, frontend, mobile, and platform domains. You’ll shape architecture, optimize lending platforms, and help grow a fintech that moves money quickly for customers.

Qualifications

• Strong PHP 8+ development experience with modern PHP features.
• Solid grasp of Symfony or Laravel and microservices.
• Experience with automated testing (unit/integration/functional).
• Familiarity with Domain Driven Design, CQRS, and event sourcing.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and container orchestration is a plus.

As a Senior Product Engineer, you'll be a key player in our engineering organisation, a vibrant community of talented engineers spanning backend, frontend, mobile, and platform disciplines. Our Modern Tech Stack

• Backend: PHP 8, Symfony, AWS, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes

What We're Looking For

We're seeking passionate engineers who are excited to contribute and grow with us:

• Strong, business oriented, engineer with modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ is a must). You're fluent in the latest PHP features and best practices.

• A solid grasp of Symfony or Laravel.

• Experience with Domain Driven Design, CQRS, Message-Driven Systems, and Event Sourcing

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and working on financial systems is a bonus.

• Excellent automated testing skills (unit, integration, functional) - you believe in quality code.

• A genuine desire to learn, collaborate, and contribute your ideas within a highly collaborative team.

• High degree of ownership and autonomy

• Experience in a cross-functional environment is a plus, but not essential.
