Job summary

ADM in Amsterdam (Capriweg) or other ADM EU locations with Packaging, including Oss, NL, seeks a Senior Packaging Engineer to lead technical packaging initiatives within the Packaging Technology Center.

You will collaborate with Operations, Technology, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing and Commercial to deploy standards, drive value, improve safety, quality and process efficiency, and support capital projects across regions.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or Packaging Technology.
• 8+ years of operations experience.
• 4+ years of direct packaging experience.
• Hands-on troubleshooting with mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Basic knowledge of Process Safety and its applications for packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of Food Safety best practices for packaging food products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel: 25–50%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy packaging strategies and standards.
• Improve packaging equipment efficiency and performance.
• Lead knowledge management and innovation initiatives.
• Drive value creation and sustainment of base packaging operations.
• Develop, coach and lead team members.
• Support capital and NDE projects and Performance Excellence initiatives.
• Provide technical support for quality complaints and safety improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations to deploy best practices and standards.
