Job summary

ADM is seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer for the Packaging Technology Center. The role is based in Amsterdam or other ADM EU locations (Europoort, Oss) with a hybrid work model.

You will lead packaging systems improvements, collaborate across Operations and Technology teams, and drive safety, quality, and cost-savings initiatives globally. Responsibilities include developing packaging strategies, optimizing equipment, and managing projects, while applying Performance Excellence methodologies

Qualifications

• 8+ years of operations experience.
• 4+ years of direct packaging experience.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Organized, detail-focused and methodical.
• Project management skills.
• Preferred experience with Performance Excellence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Basic knowledge of Process Safety and its applications for the design of packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of Food Safety best practices as they apply to packaging food products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel: 25–50%.

• Support capital and NDE projects.

• Assist plant teams with packaging troubleshooting.
• Define and deploy a global pipeline of packaging savings.
• Collaborate with Operations to deploy standards and align with priorities.
