Job summary

Albert Heijn is seeking a Senior OT & Edge Engineer to design and implement the secure OT ring for our warehouses and distribution centers. You will drive scalable infrastructure for OT/IoT, partnering with network and security teams to deliver secure, repeatable patterns across 20+ DCs and 1280+ stores.

The role requires 5+ years in OT/IoT/Cloud/DevOps, strong cloud and Kubernetes skills, and hands-on experience with IaC tools. Dutch language is preferred; travel to DCs/HSCs will be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a technical/engineering field.
• 5+ years of OT/IoT/Cloud/DevOps or backend engineering in a complex tech environment.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred).
• Solid networking and security knowledge; familiarity with OT security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design the OT Secure Ring: zoning and segmentation per Purdue model and IEC 62443.
• Translate designs into security requirements and work with network engineers to implement them.
• Build central iDMZ and OT services in Azure with minimal on-site footprint.
• Develop repeatable blueprints to connect, secure, and monitor OT/IoT assets.
• Collaborate with mechanisation partners to securely land their stacks in our landscape.
• Support integration patterns for OT data and events with partners and teams.
• Deliver iDMZ and connectivity for Industrial IDS and SIEM onboarding.
• Build secure access with Privileged Access Management and Entra ID.
• Establish asset inventory, configuration, patching, and vulnerability management.
• Automate infrastructure with code; enable DevOps and observability tooling for CI/CD.
• Share knowledge and contribute to AH Technology Platform projects.
• Engage in ongoing learning and updates to practices.
