Job summary
QED Technologies Europe is seeking a Senior New Product Researcher to lead the development of measurement techniques for new products. You will work in a multidisciplinary team combining software, physics, and mechatronics to turn customer needs into robust measurement concepts.
From Delft, you will shape next-generation metrology platforms, collaborating with our US-based parent. The role involves lab testing, knowledge transfer to our Development & Engineering team, and IP-focused activities.
Qualifications
- PhD preferred in optics, physics or related engineering field.
- 5–10 years of experience in the opto-mechatronics domain.
- Understanding of precision engineering in the nanometer regime.
Responsibilities
- Follow state-of-the-art developments worldwide relevant to optics metrology.
- Translate customer needs into robust new measurement principles.
- Perform feasibility testing by building lab setups including software and data-processing.
- Provide a smooth transfer of knowledge to the D&E department.
- Strengthen the QED IP position with patent applications.
