Senior Offshore QC Inspector – Electrical & Instrumentation

Job summary

1UP Talent is seeking an Inspector (Instrumentation, Control & Electrical) to monitor and verify the quality of electrical, control and instrumentation equipment for offshore projects. You will ensure compliance with Employer Requirements, standards and contractual obligations.

Responsibilities include reviewing as-built docs, punch lists and test procedures, supporting discipline teams, monitoring ITPs, and performing FAT and routine tests across Europe.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in Quality Control inspection or similar QA role.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Renewables or Shipping offshore projects.
• Experience reviewing Quality Control Plans, ITPs and test procedures.
• Familiarity with EPC contracts, preferably FIDIC Silver Book.
• Knowledge of BS, IEC, ISO, API, ATEX, EEMUA and European regulations for electrical equipment.
• Experience inspecting electrical, instrumentation systems including MCC, VSD, insulation, EMC testing.

Responsibilities

• Review quality deliverables such as as-built docs, punch lists, test procedures.
• Assist discipline teams in resolving technical/quality issues for electrical, control & instrumentation.
• Monitor ITP execution during manufacturing.
• Perform FAT, routine and type tests for employer.
• Travel to Europe vendor sites; support remote inspections via video tech.
• Report and track quality issues; verify Employer Requirements.
• Coordinate inspection results with QC Coordinator; produce inspection reports.
• Independently represent employer during inspections and testing.
