Job summary

Adyen is seeking an experienced Observability Infrastructure Engineer to design and run our on-prem and Kubernetes-based observability stack. You will own the next generation of logging, metrics, and tracing systems across global regions, ensuring data isolation and regulatory compliance.

You will manage a hybrid infrastructure of 1,500+ servers, automate toil with Go or Python, and improve CI pipelines for safe, automated cluster changes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in observability or a similar infrastructure domain.
• Hands-on experience operating core telemetry data stores at scale (logging, metrics, tracing).
• Production Kubernetes experience with on-prem and/or cloud environments.
• Proficient in Go or Python; builds automation platforms and treats infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement next-generation logging and metrics architecture for global regions.
• Own hybrid infrastructure, managing 1,500+ servers across bare-metal and Kubernetes.
• Automate operations and improve CI pipelines for safe, repeatable changes.
• Tune Elasticsearch, Prometheus, and VictoriaMetrics to handle high-volume data without gaps.
• Contribute to reliability engineering, reduce alerts, and implement guardrails and quota controls.
