Job summary

Ericsson GmbH in Maastricht is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join a diverse, highly skilled team. You will design, build, secure and improve a high-end IP network environment in close partnership with customers and telecom experts.

Responsibilities include reviewing designs, deploying changes through change control, and automating manual processes with Ansible. Dutch is an asset and English is essential; experience with Check Point, Fortinet and F5 is valued.

Qualifications

• CCNA certification and additional certifications (NSE4, CCSE/CCSA, BIG-IP) are required.
• Experience as an IP Network Engineer with 5–10 years in network security.
• Proven experience in network security engineering.
• Proficiency in Dutch is a significant asset; English fluency is essential.

Responsibilities

• Review high-level and low-level network designs and provide feedback.
• Build and improve secure IP network solutions based on designs.
• Prepare, test, and validate changes in the Test Centre before live deployment.
• Deploy network security changes through change management.
• Analyze current manual processes and automate with tools such as Ansible.
• Work closely with colleagues, vendors, and customer stakeholders to keep the network secure.
