Job summary

Ericsson in Maastricht is seeking an experienced Network Engineer IP Infrastructure to support the full lifecycle of IP network solutions from design through acceptance. You will join telecom and IT professionals, work with modern technologies, and help deliver reliable network solutions for customers.

The role involves lab setup, change management, capacity planning, and collaborating with deployment and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a comparable field.
• Cisco certification(s) or willingness to obtain them.
• At least 5 years of experience in IP networking and infrastructure engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with network design, implementation, and project delivery.
• Fluency in English; Dutch language skills are a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Translate high-level and low-level designs into clear implementation plans and configurations.
• Set up and maintain lab environments, including router configuration, testing, and validation.
• Execute network changes in line with change management processes.
• Support deployment and operations teams with technical expertise.
• Perform network modelling, analysis, and capacity planning.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and advise on architecture and technology choices.
• Create technical documentation, presentations, and proposals.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
