Job summary

AWL in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the R&D team. You will design and build greenfield .NET platforms that control and monitor automated production lines in intralogistics and food industries, with robots and machines.

You will work on event-driven architectures, distributed services, AI integrations, and remote monitoring, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, scalable software for complex machines.

Qualifications

• Masters degree required with strong experience in .NET/C#
• Experience with software architecture and distributed systems
• Exposure to modern development practices (testing, observability, performance)
• Experience with AI-assisted development is a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing greenfield .NET platforms
• Build software for complex machines and robotic cells
• Set up event-driven and distributed architectures
• Integrate monitoring, diagnostics and update capabilities
• Work with modern .NET technologies (AOT, async patterns, analyzers)
• Collaborate in iterative development processes
