Job summary

MasterShip in the Netherlands is seeking a Department Manager / Naval Architect to oversee the basic, detailed and production design for our shipbuilding projects. You will lead a small team, ensure quality and budget compliance, and contribute hands-on to problem solving and project execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor or master degree in naval architecture or equivalent experience.
At least 8 years in comparable naval architecture roles.
Fluent Dutch and English spoken.
Strong CAD skills, especially AutoCAD.
Self-motivated, good team player with strong communication and commercial focus.

Responsibilities

End responsibility for quality and budget for basic, detailed and production design.
Hands-on problem solving and execution of work.
Communicate with clients on ongoing projects and new opportunities.
Coordinate with the production office in China.
Contribute feedback to improve methods and MasterShip software development.
