Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Senior Medical Director to provide strategic medical and scientific expertise across therapeutic areas within the R&D lifecycle. You will support early customer engagement, proposal development, and bid defense meetings, and act as a medical consultant throughout clinical trials.

The role requires an MD with at least 10 years of experience, including 5+ years in the pharmaceutical industry or CRO, and board certification in Cardiology, Endocrinology, or Nephrology.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years in the pharmaceutical industry or CRO with senior strategic leadership.
• Board certification in Cardiology, Endocrinology or Nephrology is required.

Responsibilities

• Work independently of the therapeutic area head.
• Demonstrate independence in strategic proposal development with the proposal team.
• Lead client proposal bid defense meetings as a leader, medical director and subject matter expert.
• Act as consultant throughout the research and development life cycle and the duration of clinical trials; and/or as a standalone independent customer solution.
• Formulate clinical development plans and lead the strategic direction of the Center of Excellence.
